Terms of Service
Effective 2026-08-20
1. Purpose
These terms govern use of CaliMeal ("the Service"), a meal-plan generation service provided by the CaliMeal Operator ("the Operator"), and set out the rights and obligations of the Operator and users.
2. Accounts
The Service is provided to organizations such as cafeterias and institutions. An organization's administrator creates an account and invites members; an invited person joins that organization through an invitation link. Invitation links expire seven days after they are issued.
3. What the Service does
- Generates meal plans from the cafeteria's own past menu patterns combined with seasonal and trending menus
- Supports editing, publishing, printing (PDF), and multilingual menu sheets
- Manages organizations, members, and permissions
Generated meal plans are drafts. Responsibility for final confirmation of legally required items, such as allergen labeling and nutritional standards, rests with the user (the dietitian).
4. Fees
The Service is currently provided free of charge. Plans differ only in generation limits, and no payment is collected. If paid plans begin, pricing, payment, refund terms, and business registration details will be reflected in these terms and announced before the effective date.
5. User obligations
- Do not share accounts or invitation links with third parties
- Do not use the Service to infringe the rights of others or to violate the law
- Do not interfere with the normal operation of the Service
6. Ownership of data
Meal-plan and menu data entered or uploaded by a user belongs to that user. The Operator processes it only as far as necessary to provide the Service.
7. Suspension of service
The Operator may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, incidents, or events beyond its control. Planned suspensions are announced in advance.
8. Limitation of liability
Because the Service is provided free of charge, the Operator is not liable for damages arising from its use except where the law provides otherwise. This does not apply to damages caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence.
9. Contact
